It monitors selected ports in a TCP/IP network and automatically forces switching when a device at a monitored port becomes unavailable. Parameters for elapsed time before switching and for manual or automatic port testing and restoration are user-selectable. Switchmaster ASC can also act on SYSLOG messages it receives and can email notice of action that is automatically taken to a system administrator. Local access to SwitchMaster ASC is via keyboard/video monitor/mouse or via SSH (similar to Telnet) and via text based on CLI or the included GUI.
