The DL3100e E3 Access Multiplexer allows you to connect up to three high-speed data terminal equipment (DTE) devices to a public or private E3 network. The compact, full-featured DL3100e can be rack-mounted or surface-mounted, and is ideally suited for both hub and remote site network installations. The DL3100e is a versatile, three-port digital service multiplexer that connects high-speed bridges, routers, front-end processors and other data terminal equipment to a E3 network. The DL3100e provides up to three V.35 or HSSI data interfaces to the DTE. User-programmable bandwidth allocation allows you to configure the DL3100 for data rates from 300 kbps to 44.2 mbps. The DL3100e E3 Access Multiplexer provides a 34 Mbps E3 interface for V.35 and HSSI data terminal equipment (DTE) such as: routers, bridges, video codecs, channel extenders, and host computers. The unit supports one, two, or three DTE ports, with user programmable speeds from 358 kbps up to a maximum payload bandwidth of 34 Mbps. The Clear Channel feature allows entire payload to be used for data, user payload data interoperability between vendors using full bandwidth, and point-to-point out-of-band communication to remote DL3100e Clear Channel unit.
