The
IWay® Hopper is an external Basic Rate
Interface terminal adapter and can be used
to connect any async device to the Basic
Rate ISDN service. The IWay® Hopper
supports one or two 64Kbps sessions to the
same or different locations, concurrent
voice and datacomm calls to the same or
different locations, or a single 128Kbps
datacomm session between two sites. The
IWay® Hopper accepts serial, asynchronous
data rates up to 230Kbps via a serial port
and formats the data for transport over
the ISDN network. Bundled ML-PPP software
allows the user to configure the ISDN bandwidth
for use as a single channel, which may be
dynamically dissolved when an incoming voice
call arrives. Your PC communicates with
and controls the IWay® Hopper as if
it were a very high-speed modem, using familiar
AT-style commands or user interface controls
provided via any datacomm software.
