This
flexible range of Media Converters will
give you all the tools to convert UTP, BNC
or fibre segments. It also allows you to
convert 100Mbos segments between Twisted-pair
and Multi or Singlemode fibre in Full or
Half-duplex modes. We offer 7 chassis options
and 13 different types of converter cards
to match your application exactly.
Chassis
options:
You can have a single or a 4-port desk top
style chassis or if your application calls
for a rack mount solution then you have
a choice of 8 or 12 ports. The 12 port chassis
is also available in a 1U or a 2U high versions.
Both chassis offer the option of redundant
power supplies and 230Vac or 48Vdc.
Converter card options:
You can mix and match any type of card within
a chassis. The 10 and 100Mbps cards offer
you visual indication of LinkLoss for easy
identification of fibre segment problems.
Depending on the distances required simply
choose the card that offers you the correct
dB power output.
All 10Mbps cards have an internal switch
that allows the installer to select the
port as an up or down-link port eliminating
the need for a crossover cable and these
cards allow you to convert from twisted-pair
to coax (ThinNet) or from Singlemode to
Multimode fibre types. The 100Mbps cards
can be used to convert Twisted-pair Fast
Ethernet to single or Multimode fibre and
offer ST or SC connector options.
