A
fibre optic link is often the most popular
option in a campus environment for secure,
noise-free data communication. However this
can present customers with interface mismatch
problems. The EasiLink FX-1 allows the connection
of equipment with a G.703 interface to a
fibre link. A typical application is the
connection of a PBX or multiplexor to the
campus-wide fibre optic trunk network. Both
clear channel G.703 (usually data) and structured
G.704 (usually PBX or PRI traffic) can be
supported over such a link. For flexibility
the EasiLink is offered with AC or DC power
options and as Multimode for standard distances
or Singlemode for that extra reach you may
need.
