Our
computer sharing switches are designed for single task multi-user
applications such as booking offices and education environments,
where several people can share access to a CPU. This is often
a very cost-effective alternative to providing a computer
for each user or a network. Installation and operation are
both extremely simple, allowing use by people with no special
training. The users' monitors, keyboards and mice may be connected
to the sharer using their standard cables, or if a greater
distance is required an extension cable set is available.
The CPU is always attached using an extension cable set, which
permits it to be located in a convenient place up to 15 metres
away from the sharer. Operation can be set for either automatic
switching on user activity, or manual switching from the front
panel. A private mode switch gives you the choice of screen
visibility to just the current user or to all users, and a
screen saver utility is built in to prevent monitors from
burning. The sharer supports VGA monitors with resolutions
up to 1024 x 768, serial mice and standard 5 pin keyboards.
