Masterview
console switches are ideal for any application where one operator
needs to control or monitor a number of computers, and does
not want to waste space with multiple monitors and keyboards.
These applications include file server access in computer
rooms, data logging systems, testing or quality control systems
and telephone call logging systems. All Masterview switches
support keyboard and mouse emulation on all ports, so that
you can re-boot a computer without having to switch a console
to it first, and the keyboard settings for each computer are
saved when you switch to another computer and restored when
you switch back. There are three ways to use the Masterview
units. Switching can be carried out from the console keyboard,
or from the front panel. An auto-scanning mode is also available
for plant monitoring, where an operator simply needs to see
whether or not something has changed. Units can be cascaded
to increase the number of computers supported, currently to
a maximum of 216 PCs. The CS102 and 106 models support standard
5 pin keyboards and serial mice, while the CS122 and the CS104
support PS/2 keyboards and mice as well.
