This multiplexor is a high-speed WAN access device that will allow you to connect your equipment to multiple E1 circuits. By distributing your data over multiple circuits means you can have broadband access without having to pay extra for an E3 link. The bit-stream is taken and can be multiplexed out onto one to eight lines, this will provide an aggregate data rate of up to 16Mbps (8xE1). The multiplexing process is totally transparent to the attached equipment so that the bundled lines appear as a single, high-speed data link. The unit also has an automatic bandwidth response, this enables the unit to remove from service any circuits that fall below acceptable performance levels reducing the DTE rate to correspond with the remaining lines. SNMP network management is supported, and it also features a device-specific enterprise MIB which allows you to configure, monitor and control all significant operating parameters.
