The
Model 1180 single fibre modem supports async. data rates to
38.4 Kbps and sync. data rates to 256 Kbps over a single optical
fibre.The Model 1180 has two ranges of data rate/distance
settings: The first range, covering data rate settings over
64 Kbps, allows a maximum distance of 2.5Km. The second range,
covering data rates of 64 Kbps and under, provides two possible
settings for each data rate. The first setting allows a maximum
distance of 2.5Km. The second allows extended distances up
to 5Km. For added flexibility, the Model 1180 is available
in RS-232
(DB-25) or V.35 (M/34) versions, and with an ST or SMA fibre
connector. Because the Model 1180 provides so many data rate/distance
settings and interface options, it is suitable for a wide
range of applications.
