This
Fibre Optic Multiplexor converts the electrical data signals
of up to four attached devices into light signals and transfers
them transparently via optical cable. The opposite multiplexor
receives these light signals, reconverts them into digital
signals, and transfers them to the attached devices.
Multiplexors in this range are capable of transfer asynchronous
data at a maximum speed of 76.8Kbps and the unit is capable
of handling RS-232, RS-422 and 20mA interfaces.The multiplexor
is available with Multimode or Singlemode fibre interfaces
giving transmission distances of up to 30Km. The units are
available in standalone, wallmount or 19” rackmount
versions.
